I love using mists in my scrapbooking and card making! The misted look is perfect for any layout - pair this technique with a custom mask and it gets even better!
Check out my tutorial for creating masks from your QuicKutz dies and vinyl over at the QK Blog ! See you there!
love it! must-start-using-mists-myself. thanks for the inspiration, lady!
ReplyDeleteglad you posted this. tried to leave a comment on the QK blog and couldn't. so i'll leave it here instead. just wanted to leave love for your tutorial. awesome. i got a silhouette sd the end of july and it is still in the box. sad, i know. i am just not sure i will use it that much. i love my thickers too much! guess i will have to break it out of the box and check out the shapes!
ReplyDeletealso wanted to say that i hadn't thought of using what i cut out as masks. that may be worth it in and of itself since i sooooo love mist!
ReplyDeletelove, love, love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteHouston, that is awesome. I cannot wait to dig out my QK dies and get some vinyl. Thank you for the tip! BTW...The layout you did is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteFantastic masking... came out great!
ReplyDeletefantastic layout, great tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI *really* need to try that. My Smooch spritzes should be here in the next month or so. Question, though: have you tried to use the transfer paper yet? I have not broken it out, but the word on the Silhouette Users board is that it's often way too sticky, and they either de-sticky on their clothes or use blue painters' tape instead (also de-stickied).
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I use the Heidi Swapp masks all the time and didn't think to make my own with the QK Vinyl. Can't wait to try this one!
ReplyDeleteyou are da misting woman! love the effect here! :)
ReplyDeletewhere are you, me old fruit?
ReplyDeleteawesome stuff! can't wait for you to show me how to do this in person some time:)
